As communicated (https://mlegal.de/en/newsen/russia-to-allow-parallel-import/) Russian government would like to allow parallel import.
Parallel import is now allowed but for some groups of products and for some major brands (that announced the stop of operations in Russia).
Now anybody may buy the products of the listed brands abroad, legally import and sell them in Russia without the permission of the trademark holder. The brand owners face the risk to lose the Russian market that will be controlled by numerous parallel importers.
The list of brands subject to parallel import is expected to be updated. With this regard some experts advise that foreign companies abstain from public announcements (even if operations in Russia are on hold).
