The value added tax (normally 20%) applicable to restaurant business may me decreased to 10%.
Some restaurant keepers believe the VAT may be decreased even to 0%.
The respective decision of the Russian government shall be announced within February 2021.
This measure is expected to support restaurant business in COVID situation and make Russian restaurant VAT rates closer to those in Europe.
