Starting from July 1, 2021 Russian tax authority will provide companies, individual businessmen and notaries with qualified digital signatures. Digital signatures will be provided free of charge.
\nDigital signatures are currently issued by certified commercial companies (so called \u201cauthenticating centers\u201d). It is planned that this function shall be seamless transferred to the tax authority and, starting from January 1, 2022, digital signatures will be issued by the authority.
\nOn the same day, the digital signatures of companies, individual businessmen and notaries issued by authenticating centers will become invalid. Authenticating centers will be still able to issue electronic signatures but for individuals only.
