Russian Central Bank Lowers the Key Rate Again

Central Bank of Russia has again lowered the key rate down to 4,25%. The new key rate enters into force on July 27, 2020.

The previous lowering of the key rate (down to 4,5%) took place on June 22, 2020.

Lowering the key rate is aimed to support the business. The key rate affects many macroeconomic indexes, including inflation and interest rates for bank loans and deposits. Key rate shall be also considered as a guideline for intercompany loans.
